Glitter all around
We're delirious, tear it down, till the sun comes around

I've never cared for politics. But it's like this general election has woken me up. It's my favourite topic to argue about whenever I meet people hahaha. Not that anyone is going to bother reading this since my blog has a pathetic number of readers. Still going to rant anyway.

People say that youth these days are supportive of oppositions. Here, I would proudly like to proclaim that I am the exact opposite. I cannot understand why people blame the PAP for everything. Look around you at the rest of the world. Tell me what you think is wrong with Singapore? There's no denying that Singapore is doing well in general. PAP deserves credit for all they have done.

Sure, you may disagree with certain policies but there's a good and bad side to everything, isn't there? Sure, there may be people suffering but it's not like PAP doesn't try to help. They may not be able to reach everyone and who can blame them for that?

People complain that taxes are going up. Well, you want more help for the low-income, don't you? You're just getting what you're asking for. Funding needs to be taken from somewhere. Cost of living going up? Well, that's what you get for trying to maintain world-class facilities. A lot of foreign competition? As much as that sucks for locals, it's necessary. Work harder then that won't be an issue.

One more thing I can't stand is how people flame Tin Pei Lin for saying that "education is very affordable in Singapore". Let's make it clear, I don't support her. I don't think she is really MP material BUT regarding her point, there is absolutely no fault with it. Firstly, take note that compulsory education (Primary School) barely costs you a few dollars each month and even if you can't pay for it, the government pays for you. How is that not affordable? There's also edusave. If you're talking about higher level education like University then that is different. In the first place it isn't compulsory. And anyway it's extremely subsidized.

By the way, I'd say more but I'm too lazy plus I just read Xiaxue's post and I think she has done a good job and said more than enough so goodbye.

P.S. Nothing against any opposition parties or any hardcore supporters. I don't care if there are oppositions in parliament. I'm perfect agreeable with that. This is just my two cents worth on why I support PAP, unlike many people my age. And ranting because I'm tired of people who keep saying they want to completely kick PAP out of the government.
